 W Tech Trek is a STEM enrichment program started in 1998. In Florida there
  are two camps\, one at Stetson U and one at FAU . The camp offers girls e
 ntering eighth grade an opportunity to explore the world of STEM and see a
  future for themselves in the field. Now a national program offered by the
  American Association of University Women (AAUW)\, Tech Trek is sponsored 
 by local branches. Members fund camperships at low or no cost to families 
 and coordinate with local schools to select promising students.\n\nCampers
  experience college life for a week. The camp features interactions with f
 emale role models\, hands-on workshops\, group projects\, and demonstratio
 ns. Activities may include building balloon-powered race cars\, CSI-type f
 orensics\, chemistry\, or wearable tech. The camps are staffed by female A
