  the American Association of University Women (AAUW)\, Tech Trek is sponso
 red by local branches. Members fund camperships at low or no cost to famil
 ies and coordinate with local schools to select promising students.\n \nCa
 mpers experience college life for a week\, while virtual campers participa
 te from home. Both formats feature interactions with female role models\, 
 hands-on workshops\, group projects\, and demonstrations. Activities may i
 nclude building balloon-powered race cars\, CSI-type forensics\, chemistry
 \, or wearable tech. The camps are staffed by female AAUW members and loca
 l volunteers. For over 25 years\, Tech Trek in California has reached more
  than 15\,000 girls. As the founding entity\, AAUW California is proud to 
 offer this signature program.\n\nAstraFemina Speaker Role: Provide a motiv
 ational keynote talk about your career in STEM. Spark excitement\, show th
 at women can succeed in STEM\, that hard work pays off\, that it's OK to b
 e scared sometimes. Give a glimpse of the variety of interesting experienc
 es you had in your career.\nThis talk will kick off the girl's week at cam
 p. Some will be nervous so include brief key points maybe from personal ex
 perience about how being nervous is normal\, and how helpful it is to supp
 ort each other.
