Rosie Riveters STEM Career Discovery Day

Rosie Riveters is putting together a STEM Career Discovery Day for high-school girls on Saturday, October 14 and hoping someone from the AstraFemina Team might be able to participate! All STEM fields welcome - some girls have expressed interest in Engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical...) in case that is your background.
The morning session (which presenters don't have to attend unless they want to!) will be led by our organization and provide an overview of STEM beyond high school. It will go over things like college majors, jobs, etc. The second part is where mentors come in - we're asking six women in STEM to prepare roughly 20-minute presentations that provide an overview of their career (we'll provide a template with questions to answer!) as well as outline ways for young women to get involved with job shadowing opportunities, internships etc. in their field.
These presentations will start at ~12:15 pm that day, and we'll ask presenters to give it two times so we can cycle small groups of young women (about 15 each session) through. Presenters will be done by 2:30 pm!
