Every other year, the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey host a Camporee for all the troops in the area from Daisies to Seniors. Each year, we have a nature theme to supplement the usual hiking/camping/outdoorsy activities, and this year we've chosen Space/The Night Sky. In year past, we've had presenters like a Beekeeper come talk about pollinators - this year we would LOVE to have someone in Space/STEM come talk to and inspire the girls.

AstraFemina Speaker Role: Since it is a large group, we try to divide the day into multiple sessions. Ideally, two 45 minute talks on Saturday and two 45 minute talks on Sunday, but we could also do one each day. Throughout the other activities, the girls will learn about the phases of the moon, our solar system, and constellations. We are looking for someone to talk about space exploration, in a dynamic fun way. It's a leisure weekend, so while we want some education, it can be more fun-focused versus purely academic (ideally a nice blend of both). We totally defer to the speaker on what is most interesting to talk about! Whatever we decide, this would be the highlight of the weekend!
