2025 Impact Report: Turning Visibility Into Momentum

At AstraFemina, we believe representation is not symbolic. It is structural. It shapes confidence, opportunity, and the future of STEM itself.

The release of our 2025 Impact Report marks another year of measurable growth, deeper partnerships, and expanded reach. More importantly, it reflects the collective effort of our members, partners, donors, and volunteers who continue to show girls what is possible when they see women leading in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Expanding Our Reach and Our Infrastructure

In 2025, AstraFemina continued building the systems needed to support sustainable growth. We expanded our Board of Directors with the addition of Captain (Ret., USN) Barbara Bell, Lee Garverick, and Dr. Liz Warren, strengthening both leadership depth and strategic perspective. We also activated a Partner Portal on our website, making it easier than ever for organizations to request speakers and collaborate with our network.

Recognizing the importance of consistent engagement, the Board made a pivotal decision to invest in operational capacity by hiring a part-time administrative coordinator. This role supports partner and member logistics, website maintenance, correspondence, and the execution of our social media strategy. As a result, AstraFemina’s digital presence expanded across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, significantly increasing engagement and visibility for women in STEM.

Strategic Planning and a New Fundraising Chapter

In August, AstraFemina’s Board convened in person to refine long-term strategy and align execution plans. One outcome of that work was the launch of our first fundraising campaign, Giving Sparks Change, with a goal of raising $50,000 to support expanded outreach.

The campaign began in November and focused on corporate supporters, foundations, members, and individual donors. Funds raised will allow AstraFemina to reach more girls both in person and virtually, supporting our long-term goal of impacting 250,000 girls across all 50 states.

Measurable Impact, Real Voices

In 2025 alone, AstraFemina participated in 25 events. Since our founding in 2019, we have reached more than 35,000 girls and young women across 20 states through 18 partner organizations.

The numbers matter. But the voices matter more.

Girls consistently tell us that hearing directly from women in STEM changes how they see themselves and their futures. Educators and program leaders report that these experiences spark conversations that continue long after the event ends. Inspiration becomes curiosity. Curiosity becomes confidence.

This is the compounding effect of representation.

Why This Work Matters

Today, women make up only about 27 percent of the U.S. STEM workforce. That gap is not a reflection of ability. It is a reflection of access, exposure, and belief.

AstraFemina exists to close that gap by ensuring girls see real women doing real work in STEM fields. Our members do not just talk about careers. They share lived experience, persistence, failure, resilience, and success. They make the path visible.

And when the path is visible, more girls choose to walk it.

Looking Ahead

The 2025 Impact Report captures a year of growth, but it also signals where we are going. With stronger infrastructure, deeper partnerships, and a growing community of supporters, AstraFemina is positioned to scale our impact while staying grounded in our mission.

We are grateful to everyone who made this year possible and excited for what comes next.
