AAUW Tech Trek is a STEM enrichment program started in 1998. In Florida there are two camps, one at Stetson U and one at FAU . The camp offers girls entering eighth grade an opportunity to explore the world of STEM and see a future for themselves in the field. Now a national program offered by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Tech Trek is sponsored by local branches. Members fund camperships at low or no cost to families and coordinate with local schools to select promising students.

Campers experience college life for a week. The camp features interactions with female role models, hands-on workshops, group projects, and demonstrations. Activities may include building balloon-powered race cars, CSI-type forensics, chemistry, or wearable tech. The camps are staffed by female AAUW members and local volunteers.
